Package: ibus-anthy Version: 1.5.18-1 Severity: serious X-Debbugs-CC: [email protected]
The ibus-anthy package both provides the anthy engine for ibus and sets it as the default. This is disruptive to installs of Debian that contain language support for more than just Japanese. One particular case are the Debian Live images which as of Debian 13, try to include basic support for as many languages as possible. I am filing this bug with higher severity because of its disruptiveness. I suggest moving that configuration to a separate binary package. Maybe it makes sense to have ibus-anthy recommend that package? Debian Live can easily be adjusted to exclude a recommended package. Additionally, while what you have works, you might be interested in using dh-user-session-migration instead. user-session-migration scripts already only run the first time someone logs in after the script is installed. https://manpages.debian.org/dh_user-session-migration Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
