Dear maintainer,

I have tried to contact you through this bug on January 17th and through a separate email on February 24th, which I'm attaching for reference.

I have prepared an NMU in a fork on Salsa, from which I've prepared a merge request: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/opgpcard/-/merge_requests/3

I believe this package needs more than this patch: we should use the salsa CI pipeline from the python team and add some autopkgtests, which would have caught this issue.

I intend to seek sponsorship with a DD for this NMU and will check with the python team if they consider salvaging opgpcard to improve it further than just this NMU.

I hope to hear from you, as I intend this NMU as help to you and users of this useful package.

Best regards,

Pieter

Dear maintainer,

I've tried to use your debian package opgpcard and noted that it is unusable in stable, testing and unstable.

The issue is trivial and I think your package is definitely useful.

I opened a bug in debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1125771 and an issue with PR to fix the issue in github: https://github.com/juga0/opgpcard/issues/5 and https://github.com/juga0/opgpcard/pull/6.

So far I've not received any response, so I'm sending you this email to see if you will fix the package or not.

If you won't or I can't seem to get through, I propose I bring the package into the python team and do a team upload with one of the team maintainers or developers.

Best regards,

Pieter
