libvisam-tools declares Conflicts with vcheck, but its implementation of
the vcheck functionality differs fundamentall. The vcheck package
description says:
This is a tool for checking for latest versions of programs at HTTP
and FTP locations given a list of URLs and (Perl-style) regular
expressions to match, and to optionally download them automatically.
The libvisam-tools vcheck --help output is:
Usage:
vcheck [-r] [FILENAME...]
-r if you want the file rebuilt as needed
-C To rebuild the file in C-ISAM format
-V To rebuild the file in VB-ISAM format
-d n Set the duplicates field to 'n' bytes (2 or 4)
-x n Set the index block size to 'n' bytes
These tools solve fundamentally different tasks. The use of Conflicts is
inappropriate. For a recent decision in the same vein, refer to
rename.ul (#966468).
