Hi Adrian, The static linking is intended for performance reasons. Switching to dynamic libraries will cause a 15% raw packet-per-second performance drop.
If that is really mandatory and breaks Debian, I can make a local patch. PS: if static linking is really undesirable, perhaps libdpdk shouldn't expose static libs.
