Package: aws-nuke
Severity: serious
X-Debbugs-CC: [email protected]

The aws-nuke package contains upstream code from 2021 and is
unmaintained. It has no reverse dependencies in Debian.

https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/aws-nuke

The upstream project was archived in 2024:

   https://github.com/rebuy-de/aws-nuke

This repository for aws-nuke is no longer being actively
maintained. We recommend users to switch to the actively maintained
fork of this project at ekristen/aws-nuke. We appreciate all the
support and contributions we've received throughout the life of this
project. We believe that the fork will continue to provide the
functionality and support that you have come to expect from
aws-nuke. Please note that this deprecation means we will not be
addressing issues, accepting pull requests, or making future releases
from this repository. Thank you for your understanding and support.

It seems the replacement project https://github.com/ekristen/aws-nuke
could serve as a new upstream of the 'aws-nuke' Debian project. Before
that is done, I don't think we should continue to ship the obsolete
project in forky/testing, so filing this serious bug to trigger
autoremoval.
