Dear Maintainer,
When applied the last patch hide the four first characters of my command.
The workaround I found is to add the option `-mode flat` at the command line in
the `.bashrc`.
For example:

Without the `-mode flat` I cannot see the four first characters I am typing.
I marked this as 'minor' as I found a quick workaround and it does not break the
entire package. But, this is quite annoying when it occurs.
