Hi Ian, I have prepared a diff.gz for the new upstream release. It seems only upgrading is not enough to fix the FTBFS as hslibs (package util, package lang etc) are not shipped anymore. So I did a little bit of hacking.
I could not test the build with GHC 6.6 yet as libghc6-readline-dev is not available yet. It does build with GHC 6.4.2 though :-) I hope this helps. Greetings Arjan PS: lintian still gives some warnings and errors: W: hmake source: out-of-date-standards-version 3.6.2 (current is 3.7.2) W: hmake source: changelog-should-mention-nmu W: hmake: binary-without-manpage hmake-config W: hmake: binary-without-manpage runhs E: hmake: file-missing-in-md5sums var/lib/hmake/debian/hmakerc hmake (3.12-0.1) unstable; urgency=low . * New upstream release: - New feature: hmake -M dependency analysis now adds "# -cpp" if cpp is required. - Fix to enable hmake to build with ghc-6.6. (Closes: 393582) - New: the #! runhs script interpreter. * debian/control.in: - Add libghc6-readline-dev to the Build-Depends. * man/hmake.1: Drop patch as it is included upstream. * script/confhc: Drop patch as upstream fixed version detection. * src/interpreter/HInteractive.hs: - Use SimpleReadLine from ghc6 / libghc6-readline-dev instead of shipped one. * src/interpreter/Makefile: - Drop previous patch as it is included upstream. - Remove -package lang and -package util as hslibs is no longer shipped and add replacement -package readline. * debian/rules: - Don't ignore errors on clean. - Make sure .hi files are removed
