Right, that's expected, and perfectly reasonable.

They could adjust the defaults if they need to.

Did you, or could you, try the debs I posted?  You should be able to
comment out those extra config options and use the defaults w/ the
shorter timeout with those.  Would also like to know if you have any
problems upgrading to them and whatnot...
