Package: gabber
Version: 0.8.8-8
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

On the machines that have been updated to 0.8.8-8, gabber fails to start
with a segfault. The text output looks like this:

gabber 0.8.8
/bin/mv: cannot stat `/home/jguthrie/.Gabber/*.*ml': No such file or directory
X Screen Saver Extension not found, auto-away disabled

Setting the core ulimit to nonzero and using the "disable-crash-dialog"
option results in a corefile. The stack trace looks like this:

#0  0xa7447ff3 in strlen () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#1  0xa73f1b3f in iconv_open () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#2  0x08114a62 in MenuBuilder::finish_items ()
#3  0x08114c9c in GabberUtil::fromUTF8 ()
#4  0x08114d29 in GabberUtil::fromUTF8 ()
#5  0x08178370 in LoginDlg::loadconfig ()
#6  0x08180a4d in LoginDlg::LoginDlg ()
#7  0x08181108 in LoginDlg::execute ()
#8  0x08100b9c in GabberApp::GabberApp ()
#9  0x080831d2 in main ()

It looks to me like there may be a problem in the login dialog, perhaps
with one of the coding names.
