If that patch is really that picky when it comes to versions of the kernelsource, maybe you should depend on the very versions of the kernel-source-* packet the patch was made for. Another question: Once Etch is released, will there be security updates for that patch? Since one can expect updates to debian's kernel from time to time, will the security team support kernel-patch-openvz, too?
