submitter, note that the release notes indicate that the voodoo1 is not supported. are you sure your card is indeed a voodoo2 model?
Yes, it is Guillemot Maxi Gamer 3D2 PCI, 12MB, 3dfx Voodoo2. Currently, due to my deep differences with the Debian project [1], I'm not interested anymore in this (nor other bugs) that I've open. So, if you know the package does work for other people with other hardware you can ignore this bug. Even if this is not currently a problem for me, I thing I should help to solve it, since it was opened before my severance from the Debian project, and I have the hardware (which is not easy to get nowadays) and an spare machine to debug. I'm afraid I'm busy in this moment, sorry; but if this bug is still open in two or three months, I will give a closer look to it, and test with different compilers, library versions and patches.
