The log says:
"Running list2cds to sort packages for i386:
======================================================================
Here are the settings you've chosen for making the list:
Architecture: i386
List of prefered packages: /mirror/tmp/etch/list
Exclude file: /mirror/tmp/etch/list.exclude
Output file: /mirror/tmp/etch/packages.i386
Complete selected packages with all the rest: no
Include non-free packages: no
Include non-US packages: no
======================================================================
Statistics:
Number of packages: 18429
Number of excluded: 0 of 18429
======================================================================
...
"

The problem is why it doesn't care about the "INSTALLER_CD=2" option in
the conf but goes for a full image.

P.S.
Before I run the procedure I do "source CONF.sh" or ". CONF.sh" so the
variables get exported.
