Hello folks,

Here are notes from the discussion this week.

Azure publication updates
-------------------------

Azure image publishing is working, but there's an issue with Microsoft's
notifcation service.

The issues with bullseye-backports have been worked out and the images
have been published once again.

Noah is working with some teams at Microsoft on kernel issues, trying to
direct their changes through upstream's stable and lts trees. Bastian
explained the rules the kernel team has for accepting backports other
than via the stable/lts releases.

mkosi
-----

Noah has written up some notes on his experiments with mkosi at
https://salsa.debian.org/noahm/debian-cloud-images/-/wikis/mkosi

There's some challenges we discussed with bootloaders, partitioning and
less popular architectures.

Raspberry Pi images
-------------------

Bastian has started looking at generating raspberry pi images using our
framework. There's some initial success, but things aren't working yet.
We discussed some options getting these to coexist with the EFI arm64
images the cloud providers use.

dracut
------

The 6.18 kernel packages from debian switch to dracut for initrd
generation. Noah's getting the sid images converted.

Until next time,
Ross
