dwz still can't process compressed debuginfo sections, I think. It's the reason why Fedora uncompresses all debuginfo sections. It's also not clear to me which compression approach is to be used, the GNU one or the ELF standard one. I expect support for GNU to be a bit more widespread in our world because it's been around for a bit longer.
