+1 There were some very important technical and social lessons to be learned from this whole process, as well as a whole lot of incredibly valuable research and a greater understanding of some misunderstandings and fragility in how are full ecosystem of packaging tools fits together. I think the only way out for the /usr-merge transition specifically is through, and until we finish that we're probably not in a good position to absorb those lessons in a more comprehensive way, but I hope we don't skip that step. -- Russ Allbery (r...@debian.org) <https://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/>
