For example you can leave debian-tasks.desc untouched, and add a custom my-tasks.desc with a default selection, that the user might tune to his needs: Task: my_task0 [..] Test-standard: install [..] Packages: pkg01 pkg02 Task: my_task1 [..] Test-standard: mark [..] Packages: pkg11 pkg12 Task: my_task2 [..] Test-standard: show [..] Packages: pkg21 pkg22 Hope this is clear..
