Hi CDD-*! In the wake of the Vancouver proposal, it was discussed that some arches might be better off if they only try to release a subset of the REGULAR packages in the IRREGULAR track of their arch.
Now it struck me, that applying the IRREGULAR mechanics to CDDs could be reasonable too; there are specific needs addressed, most of which should be merged with REGULAR Debian medium- to long-term but which should not interfere too much with REGULAR releases. Leveraging the infrastructure-to-be of IRREGULAR arches trying to mimic most of the REGULAR release for IRREGULAR releases of CDDs for REGULAR arches might be worth thinking about. If this is only stupid blubber for you, please ignore this mail.
