* New upstream version: python-2.1.2. Removed the cvs-updates.
* Still urgency high; not yet moved to testing.
* We were missing the python-xmlbase package. Nobody noticed ...
* Remove empty directories from the packages (this and the former
closes: #128294).
* Update README.python2.1: Describe the Debian package setup. Document
building of packages using distutils.
* Lib/gettext.py: Add fallback argument to translation(). Set fallback
to 1 for install(). Closes: #127954.
* Build the -doc packages from the python source. Obsoletes the
python2.1-src package.
The info-tarball is included as a patch, until the secret of builing
this format is disclosed.
* mimetypes.py: Add `/etc/mime.types' to `known_files' (closes: #128845).
* Make the python-doc package suggest python-doc-info. This cannot be
a dependency, because pythonX.Y-doc-info conflict to each other.
Planned to merge these packages, when the info docs can be built from
the source docs. Help is appreciated.
* python-mode.el: Don't try to write in /usr/tmp, because this may not
be writeable by the ordinary user (closes: #128296).
* Add Lib/test/{__init__.py,pystone.py,README} to python package.
* python, python2.1: Change priority to standard. Addresses: #117582.
* fcntlmodule: Add constants (backport from 2.2). Closes: #129102.
* Add the email module from python-2.2. Do not include the documentation,
because this would change the section numbers in the manual. Please use
the documentation from the `python2.2-doc' package instead.
* Add list of patches to /usr/share/doc/python2.1/README.Debian.
