I'd like to avoid such things. This way, any X11 client attached to the session can read the root password. That's true for the "su" in a terminal too, though. However, that's not the key point. If we want to avoid such things to lock the session startup, why not register them with a very low priority ? There could even be a delay of a few seconds before the password window appears, in this case only. -- .''`.
