Hello! I have experienced the problem of 'libdb not found' trying to compile seahorse. After looking in BTS I have some questions
This problem appears when gnome-config --libs is invoked with libglade (at least) parameter, as it prints out -ldb instead of -ldb-3, wich is the library on wich libgnome-dev depends. So this means that a bug must be filled against libgnome-dev. But reading BTS I have found that a similar bug was yet filled against libgnome-dev (look at bug #89670, it was reopened due to this issue). What surprised me is that this bug was closed, without being solved. Reading a little more, it seems like libglade must be built against new libgnome, and after doing this, libgnome-dev will be fixed, is this right? But, I think this doesn't mean that the libgnome-dev bug can be closed, as gnome-config belongs to this package and doesn't work. As I'm in the middle of the new maintainer process, I'd like to know what should be done in this situation. I will wait for the answers before filling a bug against libgnome-dev, which is something that should be done, IMHO. Regards, and thaks for your attention.
