Back when the committee was alive it (or at least some members of it) did do some stuff along those lines. A couple of the packages I've taken over I took over after that sort of discussion. It was a bit rubber stampish but then I was offering to take the packages concerned over which is a much smaller change than removing them from the distribution. -- "You grabbed my hand and we fell into it, like a daydream - or a fever."
