IMHO, it is not evil to append to the headers of the message. Every MTA does that. But if you delete stuff of alter the actual message, then it is evil..
I agree. But that is what Evolution does. This bug isn't planned to be fixed for a while as it involves the developers having to rethink their design. It seems they've already rejected the idea of rendering QP on the fly and leaving the internal data sacrosanct.
