Just ignore the md5sum, it isn't (can't be!) used for anything like this. If you do apt-cache show kerberos4kth1 after installing and look very carefully you will see that the two listed 1.1-11-2 stanzas are subtly different. The problem is that your package file does not accurately reflect the contents of the .deb. That is all. Jason
