Package: wnpp Version: unavailable; reported 2002-12-01 Severity: normal I request an adopter for the xmlto package.
I posted recently about orphaning it on -devel and got a few answers but nobody adopted it yet. I consider this package important for debian but feel that I lack sgml and TeX knowledge to package it. I hope somebody will take care of it. Most bugs (I believe all) are fixed in the new upstream release. Unfortunately I am unable to get the last release to produce any output file. The upstream author is helpful but I am sure I am missing something obvious. If you want to adopt it, go forward and upload the current package after closing this RFA bug and changing the maintainer address. Thanks, Chistophe The package description is: xmlto is a front-end to an XSL toolchain. It chooses an appropriate stylesheet for the conversion you want and applies it using an external XSL-T processor. It also performs any necessary post-processing. Currently the only XSL-T processor that is supported is xsltproc, from Daniel Veillard's libxslt package. Supported conversions from DocBook XML: dvi, fo, html, html-nochunks, man, pdf, ps, txt. Supported conversions from XSL-FO: dvi, pdf, ps. For DVI, PDF and PostScript output, Sebastian Rahtz's PassiveTeX is required. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: powerpc Kernel: Linux philly 2.4.20-rc1-ben0 #1 Thu Nov 14 22:18:04 EST 2002 ppc Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED]
