AMATEUR AND PROFESSIONALS, TO BEGIN SEPT. 2ND IN HOUSTON, TEXAS AND END IN LAS
VEGAS, NEVADA ON OCTOBER 15TH
The 2nd Laugh Across America Contest and Tour is underway seeking amateur and
professionals comics for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas to perform at the
2nd Annual Las Vegas Comedy Festival set for October 29-November 2nd. The
contest will hold open auditions for aspiring comedians and professionals in a
city near you starting September 2nd in Houston.
The Laugh Across America College category is open to College students (must
have ID) to audition. Cities on the Laugh Across America contest and encore
tour include Houston (Sept.2-3); Orlando (Sept.6-7); Miami (Sept.8-9); Atlanta
(Sept.10-11); New York (Sept.14-16); Boston (Sept.17-18); Cleveland
(Sept.20-21); Chicago (Sept.23-24); St. Louis (Sept.25-27); Denver (Sept.30);
Seattle (Oct. 2-3); San Francisco (Oct.5-6); Los Angeles (Oct.8-10); Phoenix
(Oct.12-12) and Las Vegas (Oct.15).
One finalist from the college category from each of the 15 cities across the
country will win a trip to Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Comedy Festival October
29-November 2 to compete for the Grand Prize----to "Play Vegas" and a spot to
perform in the Laugh Across America Encore Tour around the country. The 4-day
festival will include comedy seminars, celebrity panels, workshops, industry
showcases, luncheons and a star-studded final awards banquet.
