Hey everyone, Yeah, the configuration is a mess. I recently tried out 0.12.0 [1] on my IBM ThinkPad R40 which comes with an UltraNav [2]. UltraNav is IBM's marketing lingo for "3 button trackpoint + 2 button touchpad" in the same laptop. [1] http://w1.894.telia.com/~u89404340/touchpad/ [2] http://www.pc.ibm.com/ww/healthycomputing/trkpnta.html Both devices will respond if I use the GlidePointPS/2 XFree86 driver as my CorePointer, but the middle button of the trackpoint is disabled while the touchpad is dumb (i.e. all presses are Mouse1). However, when I tried out the synaptics driver as my CorePointer, it turned on all my touchpad's funky features at the cost of disabling all my trackpoint's buttons. It was just plain bizarre. I can't remember if the trackpoint continued to point at the time though. So I'll have to try. But anyway Mattia, if you're going to package it, please do it right and try and it get the xserver-xfree86's debconf scripts to do all the configuration, otherwise it'll cause the user too much grief.
