Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough: The Ubuntu main component is a limited subset, where Canonical is willing to support packages for a timespan of 18 months (3 releases). Ubuntu Universe/Multiverse is a community maintained section, which has to be enabled in /etc/apt/sources.lists. You were right with your observation that Debian main != Ubuntu main, but that's only half of the truth. ;-) Have a nice day, Daniel
