Why don't you use glibc then? Your problem would be solved. Debian GNU/kFreeBSD uses glibc according to their web site http://www.us.debian.org/ports/kfreebsd-gnu/ I would say that currently the common element to all Debian ports is glibc. Please don't repeat your comments about the CDDL being superior. Please give technical arguments instead.
