I had a look at the website, on the first look, it seems quite similar to wpa_gui, but on the other hand, it seems to have additional functionality like starting wpasupplicant on session login. Perhaps you are interested in joining the pkg-wpa team on alioth [1]? We could share an svn repository and discuss best integration of kwlan into the wpasupplicant package in debian on the wpa-pkg-devel mailinglist [2].
