Hi there ... The different frontends (apt, dpkg, aptitude, ...) behave different in consideration of installing 'recommends'.
The decision which packages should be 'suggested' and which should be 'recommended' depends on what frontend is supposed as 'standard'. What is beeing considered as 'standard'?
