The information you posted belongs to release-notes's BTS, not to the wiki (as the wiki tries to track a sarge->etch upgrade). Please see http://www.debian.org/releases/etch/i386/release-notes/ch-installing.en.html which will document major differences between etch installs and sarge installs some of which are NOT available for sarge+upgrade systems (the distinction hasn't been introduced yet, but I will try to do so this week) The section is called "System improvements" but it could be relabeled to something else (since not all are "improvements") Regards Javier
