Time is short... * Does Junichi's fix cause any side effects? If no, then just do it and ask release team to give hint to include this in release. (We all know release team acts fast.) * Do we know how to ask FTP master? My impression is they ar too busy with many things so they may not be able to act soon enough. Why take chance.
