That didn't come across as I intended. Others, lots of others, have done native builds from scratch - my emphasis was preparing a complete cross-built distro from scratch. That is not something I recommend anyone else tries and I'm now trying to create a way for others to do a partial rebuild, only putting time into packages that really need to be changed from the standard Debian package. Out of 2,000 packages, I'm expecting to need to rebuild less than 100. (Some idea of the packages involved can be gleaned from the Emdebian CodeAudit wiki page [0]. Most of those do NOT need to be rebuilt, the only ones are probably those with tags highlighted in bold.)
