-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- I was going to change perl to perl5 think weekend and just provide the virtual package perl. This would close a bug filed by Brian White who is worried about Perl6. While I was thinking about this during builds of Perl, I realized that I can't do that right now. The problem? dpkg doesn't support versions on virtual packages. Too many things depend on a specific version of Perl to just tell people to fix things up.
What does everyone else think?
