Many DDs, including myself, think it's better to host Debian stuff on
Debian infrastructure (that is: alioth.debian.org), and that the
problem with platforms such as Github is that its platform isn't open
source (eg: you don't have the sources of Github available), so it's
better to avoid it in the favor of more open places where you can
run your own instance if you want/need.
