Hi! To finish up the install-info split from dpkg[0], I'd like to finally remove the temporary wrapper from dpkg. This means the remaining tail of packages still calling it directly from maintainer scripts need to be dealt with [1]. Most might just need a rebuild if using debhelper and not hardcoding the call in the maintainer scripts. But then many of these do seem like candidates for orphaning, given the last maintainer upload (see below). I'll file bug reports for the ones that don't have one yet, and bump the severity to serious once a dpkg dropping install-info is in sid.
[0] <http://wiki.debian.org/Transitions/DpkgToGnuInstallInfo> [1] <http://lintian.debian.org/tags/install-info-used-in-maintainer-script.html> The “dpkg (>= 1.15.4) | install-info” dependency can also be dropped from packages providing an info file, because all info-browsers are now guaranteed (due to the release) to Depend on install-info. I'll file a bug on debhelper and lintian for that.
