How are dependency disjunctions in direct or indirect build dependencies
handled? Which package is selected if a key package "Build-Depends: A | B"?

And are you only talking about direct build dependencies or also indirect build
dependencies? In the latter case, the amount of possible choices (installation
sets) becomes even higher.
