Regarding xbmc please don't remove it. It works with libav to some extent and I'm tyring to convince upstream to let me join the team responsible for packaging. I plan keeping xbmc working with libav unless ffmpeg gets reintroduced to the archive.
I understand Moritz's concerns regarding the security fixes and I'm not taking sides whether ffmpeg should be reintroduced, but if it gets reintroduced without removing libav, please avoid the rpath hack and use different .so names instead.
