I don't get your point. You can start a wrapper script and as a last step use exec $mydaemon That just works. If not, can you elaborate what your problem is? But yeah, such wrapper scripts should be avoided if possible and native mechanisms used. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
