Since we had issues with that in Tanglu as well, we also created a solution ;-) It's a damn simple YAML file, which describes the suites names, versions, supported architectures and arch-specific settings, and points the tools to the current development suite. YAML has the advantage that you can create suite hierarchies, e.g. bartholomea: state: development description: Tanglu 2 (development version) suites: update: description: Tanglu 2 updates A generic solution which is used by Debian and its derivatives would be an awesome thing, and help a lot in sharing the tools used across distributions.
