* Package name : protozero Version : 1.0.0 Upstream Author : MapBox (https://github.com/mapbox/protozero/issues) * URL : https://github.com/mapbox/protozero * License : BSD-2-Clause and Apache-2.0 Programming Lang: C++ Description : Minimalistic protocol buffer decoder and encoder in C++ protozero is a minimalistic protocol buffer decoder and encoder in C++. Designed for high performance. Suitable for writing zero copy parsers and encoders with minimal need for run-time allocation of memory. Low-level: this is designed to be a building block for writing a very customized decoder for a stable protobuf schema. If your protobuf schema is changing frequently or lazy decoding is not critical for your application then this approach offers no value: just use the decoding API available via the C++ API that can be generated via the Google Protobufs protoc program. The protozero headers are required for libosmium >= 2.3.0 that currently bundles a copy of protozero in its source as it does for the utfcpp headers too. utfcpp is already packaged for Debian and is used instead for the libosmium Debian package. A drawback of protozero is the current lack of big endian support, see: https://github.com/mapbox/protozero/issues/14 The protozero package will be maintained within the Debian GIS team along with libosmium.
