the above short description has 3 useless words in it, I suggest you drop them. If it wasn't free it wouldn't be in Debian; if it wasn't functional why would anyone release or package it; same with "secure", plus it's a rather meaningless descriptor that'll be wrong the day somebody finds a bug (especially combined with "implemented in C"...).
