It would be nice if tag2upload did this, either using uscan --download- current-version or something else that produces equivalent results. This is something that has caused me to avoid using tag2upload in the past, since the orig tarball I have on my machine is from uscan, but the orig tarball tag2upload produces is different. pristine-tar support could fix this, but being forced to use a pristine- tar branch is not ideal when uscan could reliably produce the orig tarball without potential for the maintainer to modify the orig tarball provided to pristine-tar. -- Maytham
