Hi

Since 2026 is still rather new, you may want to update the "debian/*" entry of
the debian/copyright file of the package you maintain.

You can update this entry and commit the result in one command with "cme run
update-my-copyright-year".

This command uses $DEBFULLNAME to find the right copyright entry

For instance (slightly redacted to avoid email harvesting):

$ cme run update-my-copyright-year

Changes applied to dpkg-copyright configuration:
- Files:"debian/*" Copyright: 'Norbert Tretkowski <nobse.debian.org> 2012-2024,
Dominique D[...]' -> 'Norbert Tretkowski <nobse.debian.org> 2012-2024, 2026,
Domin[...]'
[debian/sid 6adc50f9] updated copyright year of Dominique Dumont
 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-)

And here's the commit done by cme:

$ git show | cat
commit 6adc50f99830909809297b747be79c819535b912
Author: Dominique Dumont <dod.debian.org>
Date:   Wed Feb 11 18:53:05 2026 +0100

    updated copyright year of Dominique Dumont
