I originally meant this mail to deb-dev to get feedback about this
issue, but it seems I did not.

1.12 is already available for some time in `unstable'.  1.12 seems to
have proven to be stable enough.  Maybe it can be pushed into updates
to the stable tree now.

Any objection ?
