Confused about building shlibs. I've got a package which contains both binaries and a library [don't flame me just yet].
The problem is that dpkg-shlibdeps says that the package depends on itself, which lintian doesn't like. So I'm trying to split the package. I run "dh_makeshlibs -V", since it's alpha software and the library can be expected to change a lot. But when dpkg-shlibdeps runs for the binary package, it uses the version information from the currently installed version of the library, not from the version that's being built. Can anyone suggest a way out? I guess it must be a pretty common problem. thanks, Hamish -- Hamish Moffatt VK3TYD [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Debian packages at ftp://ftp.rising.com.au/pub/hamish.
