    I think the part that is "wrong with us" is the insistance on vi
emulation.  Here's the most telling sign that I can think of.  AFAIK,
FreeBSD's installation disk(s) pack ee, not vi, and no vi emulation.  If
there was *anyone* you'd think would be a stickler for an accurate and true
set of tools for installation it would be the *BSD people.  :)
