I've played around with my system some more. Here's what I tried: 1. Removed libstdc++2.9-glibc2.1 - realplayer kept working 2. Changed REALPLAYER_HOME - realplayer stopped working 3. Corrected REALPLAYER_HOME - realplayer started working again 4. Unset REALPLAYER_HOME - realplayer kept working In short, REALPLAYER_HOME was the sole cause on my system and unsetting it completely seems to be the best fix. - Dave -- +----------------------+-----------------------------------------------+ | David Webb | The believer is happy; the doubter is wise. | | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | - Hungarian Proverb | +----------------------+-----------------------------------------------+
