I finally had time to look into it and the fix is currently online as https://salsa.debian.org/webmaster-team/webwml/-/commit/023899a8d271b59a952908a0e9a6c8f09e5c63a9 . I don't think there will be side-effects. But if there are any regressions, please feel free to let me know.
