Hello Bob, [DPKG] returns EBUSY when replacing a file http://bugs.debian.org/247234
Long ago, you reported that dpkg failed while replacing a file; does this bug still apply? Do you have a test case? (BTW, I don't trust errno EBUSY here; see bug #376200). Is it possible that the filesystem was readonly, or that remove/rename would have failed for some other reason?
